PrivacyActivism to SF Entertainment Commission: No ID Scanning or Intrusive Cameras in Clubs

Today PrivacyActivism, along with many other privacy and consumer groups,  submitted comments to the San Francisco Entertainment Commission in opposition of their intrusive plan to collect driver’s license information from all club goers. This mandatory collection of sensitive information is coupled with a requirement that clubs install an oppressive number of cameras to monitor club goers.

The public hearing is Tuesday, April 12th at 6:30pm in Room 400, City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco.  See full comments below. (more…)
